The Isle-ettes is a women's organization started in 1976. Its purpose is to provide social, recreational and educational programs to our members. The Isle-ettes also supports the objectives of the Board of Directors of the Isles Yacht Club. All women members of the Isles Yacht Club are eligible to participate. Our meetings are held every 2nd Tuesday of the Month. Beginning with a social hour, members gather for coffee at 9:30AM and the meeting begins at 10:30AM. Dress code is smart casual. There is a set program for each meeting which changesmonth to month and can include decorating ideas, guest speakers, health issues, money matters, food and entertaining, book reviews, gardening, travel and leisure, storytelling and just about any subject you can think of. Lunch is always something spectacular and is served immediately following the program. The Isle-ettes are responsible for providing the IYC general membership with donations such as dining room china and chargers, furniture for the library, monies to help build the handicap ramp to the marina, and much more. Throughout the year the Isle-ettes hold fundraisers to obtain the goals set forth by its Executive Board. This year the Isle-ettes are working to raise funds to provide the membership with a live band for dancing at least once per month and to support other worthwhile club activities. Our fundraising calendar is as follows: VISANI'S COMEDY NIGHT - Off Campus; Wednesday, May 13 BOATIQUE and GARAGE SALE EVENT - Saturday, October 24 BLACK and WHITE BALL - Saturday, September 26 CARD and GAME DAY - Thursday, January 21, 2010 SUPER BOWL PARTY - Sunday, February 7, 2010 ANNUAL STYLE SHOW - Saturday, February 20, 2010
